Emerald City Gowns is a treasure trove for the practical green bride. We set out to create an alternative to the traditional bridal salon, where you can leave today with a designer gown in hand or order something made-to-order from an affordable, domestic atelier.
Consignment Gowns or New Gowns. You can buy a consignment gown or bring in your own previously worn gown for resale.
Owner, Emilie, got the idea for the shop while helping her best friend find a wedding gown in a fabulous consignment boutique in Seattle. Realizing this service was lacking in the Bay Area, she got to work opening her own consignment boutique. In April 2011, Emilie opened the shop with a small storefront on San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley, California. The following year Emerald City Gowns relocated to the Fourth Street Shopping district, where you will find us today!
